Say hello to a cleaner crisp without seed oils. Organic Fera fruit oil is pressed from antioxidant-rich fruit grown on organic regenerative farms and gets its name from a South American tree that produces this unique type of palm fruit with primarily healthy fats. Just 1 ingredient, nothing added.
We take our ingredients very seriously. Fera fruit oil stays consistently fresh, it doesn't degrade in the same way as previous oils, and there are arguably many improvements to health aspects by using this oil to fry our doughnuts at Holey Grail.

Wellness is very important to us at Inness. Since making the switch from canola oil, my guests and I feel less bogged down by the crispy food on menu. There's a lighter, less 'heavy' feeling after consuming foods we fry in Fera fruit oil.

The decision to use Fera fruit oil was solely based on a shared ethos between ours and Zero Acre, with their quality and dedication to curating the best possible solution for seed oil-free frying: our food is better-tasting and cleaner.

Fera fruit oil produces a better crisp with less oil absorption, and it lasts much longer than what we were using before. The flavors that we're intending to push forward come through more clearly...flavor transfer is my first priority.

Fera gets its name from the oleifera x guineensis tree, which produces a unique type of palm fruit naturally richer in healthy fats with a clean, neutral taste. Sourced exclusively from organic regenerative farms, the name Fera distinguishes this fruit–and its oil–for its healthy fats, culinary performance, and organic-certified growing practices.
Organic Fera fruit oil is grown on organic regenerative farms using perennial trees that produce for 25+ years, helping support soil health and reduce the need for replanting. It is fully traceable and grown only on existing farmland, never on newly cleared land or peat soils. Because of its high yield, Fera also requires significantly less land than many typical oils—up to ~95% less than soybean oil and ~60% less than conventional palm—making it a lower-impact choice at scale.
Fera is made from a single ingredient: antioxidant-rich fruit. It is USDA certified organic and sourced from organic regenerative farms that do not use toxic chemical pesticides. The product is also Non-GMO Project Verified.
clean-fried® refers to a better way of frying food using high-quality, seed oil-free oils that deliver a lighter, cleaner crisp with less grease and no off-flavors. It’s a standard created by Zero Acre Farms to signal food that tastes great, feels better to eat, and is made with better ingredients.
The context of frying matters in evaluating oils. The most common restaurant frying oils (soybean, canola, and rice bran oils) are seed oils high in polyunsaturated fats (PUFAs). Compared to other types of fat, PUFAs are less stable under high heat and oxidize quickly [*], releasing toxins like 4-Hydroxynonenal (HNE) that are linked to poor health and weight gain [*]. At only 12% PUFA, Fera contains about 3x less polyunsaturated fat than canola oil and 5x less than soybean oil, making it significantly more stable for high-heat frying cycles in professional kitchens.
Nothing! Organic Fera (organic oleifera × guineensis palm fruit oil) is expeller-pressed and contains no chemical solvents like hexane or preservatives such as TBHQ. It is Non-GMO Project Verified.
Like olive and avocado oils, Fera has primarily monounsaturated fats. Fera also offers chefs the added benefit of a cleaner, more neutral taste and greater heat stability, meeting the performance and affordability needs of professional kitchens.
Organic Fera has 40% more healthy, monounsaturated fat than typical palm oil and 60% less saturated fat than coconut oil. This balance of healthy fats also has the benefit of liquid pourability at room temperature.
The differences in these oils come from their distinct trees. Fera comes exclusively from the South American oleifera × guineensis palm tree, grown deforestation-free on organic regenerative farms with full traceability as part of our Zero Acre Deforestation Commitment.
